About Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation
Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation combines aircraft engineering, systems integration and high-rate aerospace manufacturing. Its core work covers Taiwanese military aircraft, commercial airframe and engine structures, flight testing, maintenance and upgrades. Those facilities give its unmanned-aircraft programme access to composite design and production, propulsion and structural engineering, avionics, flight controls and full-vehicle integration.
AIDC is positioning its factories as a production base for Taiwanese and overseas UAV developers that lack aerospace-scale manufacturing capacity. It also develops counter-UAS architecture, command-and-control software, precision gimbals and system integration, and operates target-drone and aerial-target services for weapons training. Its AIxVNAV work combines cameras, satellite three-dimensional mapping and licensed visual-navigation software to support flight and target positioning when GNSS is unavailable. As chair of Taiwan's drone-industry alliance, AIDC also coordinates suppliers and international manufacturing partnerships.

- 2026-07-15 - Market Signal - Hocheng enters Taiwan’s unmanned-systems materials supply chain
Hocheng was reported to be working with AIDC on composite UAV structural-material design and development. Hocheng and Thunder Tiger jointly developed a drone using a composite body. Thunder Tiger stated that the composite structure had entered mass-production shipments,while no quantity was disclosed.

AIDC announced the flight demonstration on June 1, 2026, after testing the system on May 29. AIxVNAV combines licensed Vantor Raptor Guide software, satellite 3D mapping and AIDC integration work. The camera-based system is designed to navigate without GPS, anti-jam antennas or radar and can be adapted to multiple UAV types.

AIDC unveiled the system at the Taipei Aerospace and Defense Technology Exhibition on September 17, 2025. The architecture integrates active and passive radar, electro-optical and infrared targeting, radio-frequency jamming and laser interception. AIDC reported five-kilometer, 360-degree detection and positioned the system for critical-infrastructure and national-defense protection.

Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs announced the alliance on September 18, 2024. AIDC chairman Kai-Hung Hu was selected to chair the group alongside seven co-chair companies. TEDIBOA was formed to integrate technical, manufacturing and commercial resources and expand Taiwan's role in the global UAV supply chain.
