About Akari
Akari develops industrial AI software, simulation systems and sector-specific SaaS products. Its Digital Billder administration platform and Hikari, Hakobi, Takumi and Akinai AI agents address workflows in construction, logistics, manufacturing, wholesale and retail. The company also undertakes custom digital-transformation projects that move from operational analysis through AI development and implementation, connecting technical models with the data and processes used by industrial customers.
Its capital and business alliance with motor and power-unit developer Aster adds a Physical AI programme around manufacturing and machinery. Akari's Melchior simulation platform is being applied to factory layout, worker movement and equipment-control optimisation at Aster's production sites. The programme is intended to combine those digital-twin models with accumulated sensor and operating data, improving production decisions and training control systems for Aster's hybrid drones and power units, with humanoid applications identified as a later development direction.
Observed use
- Akari learned locomotion controller with Go2
Evaluation - Controlled By - A Unitree Go2 with Akari locomotion software navigated suspended construction scaffolding and freed legs caught on sheets or cables during an Oriental Shiraishi field test.

- 2026-09-08 - Demonstration - Akari and Oriental Shiraishi validate autonomous quadruped walking on suspended scaffolding
LiDAR detected hanging chains and site equipment for obstacle avoidance and route planning. The controller used body tilt and ground-reaction information to maintain posture across uneven surfaces. The robot detected sheets or cables snagging its legs and autonomously moved to free them; routine site patrol remains in development.
Source - 2026-09-01 - Partnership - Akari invests in Aster and joins management under Physical AI alliance
The agreement was signed in August 2026 and disclosed on September 1; the investment amount was not disclosed. Capital supports ASTERCOIL motor and power-unit production equipment and hiring. The partners plan AI-native factory optimization and eventual Physical AI applications in hybrid drones, generators and humanoids.
