About
About ALSEAMAR
SEAEXPLORER gliders change buoyancy to descend and rise through the water, converting that vertical motion into low-energy forward travel. The 1000 model supports deep, long-endurance missions, while SEAEXPLORER 200 is configured for shallower coastal work; both can carry modular payloads for oceanographic, acoustic or environmental sensing.
GLIMPSE software plans missions, simulates energy and trajectory, monitors several vehicles and redirects them after launch. This allows one operating team to manage a distributed observation fleet rather than pilot each glider continuously. ALSEAMAR supplies vehicles, payload integration, mission software, training and operational support for scientific and defence programmes.

ALSEAMAR and CNRS launched a Mediterranean mission using a fleet of 10 autonomous SEAEXPLORER underwater gliders. The Ligurian Sea mission is part of the France 2030 program. The gliders will collect environmental data for one month to study marine ecosystems and fine-scale oceanographic processes.
