About Applied Autonomy
Applied Autonomy develops xFlow, software that connects autonomous vehicles with the people and systems running transport services. The platform monitors mixed fleets through telemetry, live video and operational alerts, and gives remote operators functions such as starting, pausing or assisting vehicle operations. It connects through vehicle interfaces and supports buses, shuttles and logistics vehicles from different manufacturers.
Founded in 2017 and based in Kongsberg, Norway, the company also provides transport planning, safety-case support, system integration and operator training. Its work includes public-transport and industrial-site projects using xFlow alongside the vehicle manufacturer’s automated-driving system. INIT acquired a 67.74 percent majority stake in October 2026, combining xFlow’s technical supervision with its transport-control systems for autonomous and conventional fleets. Applied Autonomy continues as a distinct software company within that ownership structure.
