About Auris Health
Auris Health develops flexible robotic platforms for minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Its MONARCH Platform combines a robotic endoscope, physician controller, continuous endoscopic vision and software-assisted navigation for bronchoscopy, including access to hard-to-reach lung nodules.
Johnson & Johnson acquired Auris in 2019 and markets MONARCH through J&J MedTech. In July 2026 Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi reported the Middle East's first robotically assisted bronchoscopy using MONARCH. The hospital also identified the region's first clinical use of MONARCH QUEST navigation; the event establishes clinical introduction at that site, not a region-wide installed-base count.

Events
- 2026-07-28 - Deployment - Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi completes Middle East's first MONARCH robotic bronchoscopy
MONARCH guides a flexible endoscope through the lung airways to biopsy small, hard-to-reach nodules. The completed procedure establishes clinical use at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. The hospital used the platform to support continuous-vision navigation and tissue sampling in peripheral lung anatomy.

The applicant is Auris Health, Inc. at its Santa Clara operating address. The filing covers MONARCH Platform configuration MON-000008. The FDA decision date was 25 July 2026.
Source - 2025-03-12 - Regulatory - FDA clears MONARCH QUEST robotic-bronchoscopy upgrade
MONARCH QUEST adds enhanced AI navigation and a verified interface for GE HealthCare’s OEC 3D mobile cone-beam CT imaging system. Its NVIDIA RTX accelerated computing stack increases real-time computational power by 260% for navigation algorithms. The update combines scope-in-sheath control and continuous vision with intraprocedural 3D imaging for targeting and tool-in-lesion confirmation.
Source - 2019-02-13 - Acquisition - Johnson & Johnson agrees to acquire Auris Health
The transaction brought the Monarch robotic endoscopy platform into Johnson & Johnson. The upfront consideration was approximately $3.4 billion in cash. Potential milestone payments could add up to $2.35 billion.
