Boston Intelligent Robotics supplies three hospitality-oriented mobile systems. Cute is an enclosed room-service robot with SLAM navigation, elevator integration, automatic charging and a secure delivery compartment carrying up to 22 lb. Joyce uses open trays for multipoint food delivery, reception and cruising functions, while Badger navigates independently to spray disinfectant and stops spraying when it detects a person.
Hotels and food-service venues can purchase or lease the robots and configure maps, delivery points and recurring routes around the property. Staff load food or supplies and assign the destination, after which the robot travels to the room or table and returns for another task. The products are intended to absorb repetitive transport and cleaning work while employees retain responsibility for guest service, restocking, exception handling and hygiene supervision.
