About Bloomfield Robotics

Bloomfield Robotics turns repeated crop imagery into plant-level measurements for vineyards, orchards and other specialty agriculture. Its FLASH stereo camera and active lighting attach to tractors or other farm vehicles, capturing consistent ground-level views of berries, clusters, shoots, leaves, trunks, buds and canes as crews carry out normal field work.

Computer-vision models analyse each plant over the growing season, tracking health, performance and phenotypic change from seed or bud through harvest. Growers use the resulting maps and assessments to target crop management, estimate yield and plan harvest and post-harvest operations. The system separates image collection from agronomic analysis: a rugged mobile sensor gathers the field record, while software converts it into comparable plant-by-plant data. Kubota acquired Bloomfield in 2024 and continues the platform within its agricultural technology business.
