About Centaur Robotics
Centaur Robotics' current chair uses a four-wheel aluminium-alloy platform measuring 470 millimetres wide, allowing it to pass through standard doors while carrying a published load of up to 130 kilograms. The company lists a vehicle weight of 75 kilograms, a top speed of 10 kilometres per hour and up to 25 kilometres of travel from a 24-volt lithium-ion battery.
The current design is materially different from the earlier two-wheel self-balancing Centaur concept. Centaur now presents a conventional four-wheel configuration for everyday indoor and outdoor mobility, with a 12-month warranty and a 14-day home trial. Availability was scheduled for spring 2026 at £9,960 including VAT. Range, speed and load are manufacturer specifications and remain dependent on user weight, terrain, battery condition and operating environment.
