About Config
Config develops data infrastructure and foundation models for bimanual robot manipulation. Its Loop platform turns real-world demonstrations into task-specific policies through six composable stages covering collection, data preparation, training, evaluation and physical deployment.
CFG-1 is a first-generation bimanual foundation model trained on more than 10,000 hours of human and robot data, with adaptation to customer tasks. Config closes the development loop by testing trained behaviours on physical robots and feeding outcomes back into the dataset. The platform addresses coordinated two-arm work and interaction around people across customers' own robot hardware.

Samsung Venture Investment led the USD 27 million seed round, with ZER01NE Ventures, LG Tech Ventures and SKT America among the strategic participants. The financing valued Config at more than USD 200 million and brought its cumulative capital raised to USD 35 million. Config plans to scale robotics-data operations, grow its enterprise platform and launch a cloud Robot-as-a-Service product.

Config demonstrated long-horizon memory capabilities in CFG-1 across piano-playing, shell-game tracking and object-rearrangement tasks. The company reported 70 percent success on 8-note piano trials, 87 percent success in shell-game trials and 70 percent success on desk-rearrangement trials. Config framed the work as evidence that robot memory depends on collecting the right long-horizon training data.

Config demonstrated training data collected in human-present environments, where people enter the scene, give direction or work alongside the robot. The company said models trained on this data learned to pause, wait and yield in shared spaces without those behaviors being explicitly programmed.
