About Custom Power
Custom Power designs packs around an OEM’s electrical, mechanical, environmental and certification requirements. Its robotics and automation offer includes battery systems for autonomous equipment, while its wider work spans aerospace, defence, medical and industrial uses. Engineers can build to a supplied design or develop an application-specific solution with cell selection, pack electronics and validation.
Solid State plc acquired the US business in 2022. The group subsequently moved former Steatite battery facilities in Crewkerne and Newcastle under the Custom Power umbrella, so this profile treats the current transatlantic battery operation as one continuing business instead of creating a second active Steatite Batteries company. The US contact office is in Fountain Valley, California.
