About
About D-Orbit
D-Orbit develops spacecraft and mission services for moving, hosting and operating payloads in orbit. Its ION Satellite Carrier transports satellites after launch and can host instruments or computing payloads for in-orbit demonstration and service missions.
The company's work connects spacecraft manufacturing, mission control, orbital transport and space logistics. Autonomous onboard systems support those operations, with mission capability dependent on the selected ION configuration and launch plan.

Notes
Profile notes
- D-Orbit became an orbital-logistics operator after its original decommissioning-device plan stalled
reviewed 2026-07-20 - D-Orbit was founded around a solid-propellant device intended to remove satellites at end of life, but built its operating business around ION orbital transfer vehicles, deployment and hosted payloads. Debris mitigation remains part of the company’s identity, while revenue and flight heritage come primarily from logistics services rather than widespread adoption of the original device.
