About DefendEye
DefendEye develops autonomous aerial systems for rapid situational awareness in emergency response, security and defense. Its Overwatch BoxDrone can be activated from a phone and uses onboard people-detection software to locate and tag individuals while operators receive video and mission data through DefendEye Cloud.
BoxDrone is designed for launch in under 20 seconds, automatic return and landing, and flights of up to 30 minutes. A second vehicle-mounted configuration adds motion- or alarm-triggered launch and a stated 40-minute flight time. The system is intended for first responders, emergency services, private security and government users.
