About Deptrum
Deptrum develops three-dimensional vision hardware and depth-processing technology through operations in Shanghai and Shenzhen. Its stack covers optical design, nanophotonic components, depth algorithms and perception computing, including a Wavefront Processor architecture that combines light-field modulation with depth reconstruction. Product families include Stellar time-of-flight cameras, Aurora structured-light cameras, compact Nebula modules and HandPass palm-recognition systems.
Robot manufacturers integrate these cameras for mapping, spatial reconstruction, obstacle detection and navigation. Current deployments span medical delivery, commercial cleaning, lawn care, household cleaning, massage and educational robots, with individual platforms using different Aurora, Stellar or Nebula modules for their operating range and form factor. Deptrum supplies the sensing module and associated depth data; the vehicle maker remains responsible for localisation, route planning, actuation, safety and the completed robotic system.

- 2025-02-26 - Product Launch - Deptrum launches Nebula 400 depth camera for commercial robot perception
Deptrum launched the Nebula 400 as a 3D depth camera for commercial-robot navigation and obstacle avoidance. The camera combines structured light and ToF sensing, with a 3 cm-to-8 m working range and a 98° horizontal field of view. Deptrum said the device supports depth sensing, 3D SLAM, ground-obstacle segmentation, and recognition of thin or dirty obstacles for delivery, cleaning, outdoor, quadruped, and humanoid robots.
