DP World's automated terminals coordinate quay cranes, container carriers and stacking equipment through central operating systems. Remote-control rooms and sensor networks allow containers to move between vessels, yards, rail and road while reducing the amount of manual driving required inside high-traffic terminal areas.
Its contract-logistics operations apply AMRs, robotic sortation, palletising and automated storage to ecommerce and industrial warehouses. DP World integrates these systems with inventory, customs and transport data across its wider logistics network, The same network connects port handling with fulfilment and inland distribution across facilities.

The agreement focuses on supporting manufacturing and deployment of a container ascending system for logistics and port automation use cases. Micropolis said the agreement expands its footprint beyond public safety and smart-city programs into maritime and industrial logistics automation.
