About Dynamic Research Inc.

Dynamic Research conducts vehicle-dynamics, suspension, human-factors and automated-driving tests at a private proving ground in Bakersfield, California. Its facilities include kilometre-long multi-lane roads, an NCAP intersection, dynamics areas, workshops and secure vehicle storage, enabling year-round track programmes alongside simulation and kinematics-and-compliance measurement.

DRI also created the Guided Soft Target system for controlled collision-avoidance testing. A low-profile robotic platform carries impactable Soft 360 targets representing cars, pedestrians, bicycles and motorcycles so radar, camera, LiDAR and ultrasonic systems can encounter realistic moving hazards without damaging the test vehicle. The Euro NCAP-approved Soft Car 360 hatchback remains stable at up to 120 kilometres per hour on a GST 120 platform. DRI has operated since 1979 and became part of AB Dynamics in 2019.
