EP Equipment was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Hangzhou. The company designs, manufactures and supports lithium-powered warehouse vehicles for distribution and industrial customers worldwide. Its conventional portfolio spans pallet trucks, stackers, forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers and tow tractors, providing a vehicle base for the company's automation programme.
EP's autonomous systems convert repeatable pallet and material flows into driverless operations using lidar navigation, obstacle detection and fleet control. Livox Mid-360 is deployed on its autonomous forklifts for compact, wide-field perception. EP reported shipping 100,000 units in 2019 and expanded its manufacturing footprint beyond 670,000 square metres in 2023, giving the automation line access to an established industrial-truck production base.

- 2026-06-30 - Partnership - Dongfeng OpenVAN and EP Equipment form autonomous-logistics partnership
The collaboration covers warehouse, handling, loading, transport and picking workflows. The companies plan joint product development for parcel delivery, ecommerce warehousing and automotive manufacturing. Dongfeng said OpenVAN had completed more than 130 million kilometres of L4 validation and received orders for more than 4,000 vehicles.

The forklifts use Mid-360 for pallet recognition, autonomous navigation positioning and obstacle avoidance. The integration places Livox sensing hardware inside warehouse vehicle automation and pallet-handling workflows.
