ESI Motion

ESI Motion packages servo control into both compact modules and enclosed drive systems. Proton is a single-axis brushless-motor controller, while Atom addresses dual-axis control. The Proton architecture accepts several feedback methods, including resolvers, Hall sensors and encoders, and uses chassis cooling and CANopen communications for integration into a host system.

Applications include robotic-arm positioning, antenna stabilisation and other mechanisms where drive electronics must fit within tight size and weight constraints. Engineering services, user-interface software and packaging or cooling choices support integration. The broader portfolio also includes actuators and space batteries, extending its offering from motor control into related power and motion hardware.
