Flasheye
About
About Flasheye
Flasheye builds a modular 3D perception stack for stationary industrial sensing. It converts lidar point clouds into tracked objects, classifications, speeds and zone states, then exposes those outputs through industrial interfaces including MQTT, OPC UA, UDP and PLC connections.
The platform is used for machine safety, material and asset tracking, production optimization and control of AGVs and robots. A collaboration with Hesai combines Flasheye software with high-capacity lidar sensors to form a perception-to-control layer for mines, ports, sawmills and raw-material handling sites.
Team
- Gustav Nordlund - Chief Executive Officer - Leads commercialization of Flasheye's sensor-agnostic 3D perception software.
- Ulf Lindström - Founder - Supports company and technology development around scalable lidar perception.
Timeline
Events
- 2026-07-02 - Partnership - Hesai and Flasheye combine lidar and perception software for industrial autonomy
Hesai supplies the 3D lidar hardware while Flasheye converts point clouds into object, speed, classification and zone outputs. Flasheye exposes those outputs through MQTT, OPC UA, UDP and PLC interfaces for existing industrial control systems. The companies described applications spanning object tracking, material handling automation, machine safety and AGV control.
Source - 2026-02-13 - Partnership - Flasheye and Hedlunds partner on sawmill 3D perception
The system detects log position, shape, misalignment, double feeds and material build-up in real time. Flasheye contributes sensor-agnostic perception software while Hedlunds contributes sawmill and log-handling expertise. The announcement establishes development and integration scope but does not identify a completed customer deployment.
