About FUTEK
FUTEK supplies force, torque and pressure measurement from individual robot fingers to complete arms and mobile platforms. Its four-by-five-millimetre NanoSensors fit inside fingertips and knuckles, measuring tension and compression with a high natural frequency for fast grip feedback. This allows controllers to regulate contact with fragile parts rather than relying only on motor current or position.
Six-axis sensors measure forces and moments along three orthogonal axes for hand guiding, assembly, grinding, polishing and haptic interfaces. Other load cells monitor payload weight, actuator thrust, wheel forces and joint output around strain-wave gearing. Standard parts support research and low-volume prototypes, while custom geometry, environmental sealing and autoclavable construction address production humanoids, surgical robots and outdoor machines. FUTEK also supplies signal conditioners, amplifiers, displays and data-acquisition hardware to turn sensor output into calibrated control inputs.
