About Innvotek
Innvotek's robots combine access to difficult surfaces with instruments that measure the condition of the asset. Amphibian climbs curved steel structures across splash zones and underwater, carrying inspection or maintenance tools. Its all-wheel-drive chassis crosses welds and plate joints, while localisation and visualisation help operators relate measurements to the structure being inspected.
Nepa addresses the floor of petrochemical storage tanks. Designed to enter through a tank manway and operate submerged in oil, it combines ultrasonic inspection with position tracking to map thickness and corrosion. The resulting location-referenced data supports reporting and asset-integrity assessment. These platforms sit alongside Innvotek's custom robotics and digital-engineering services for infrastructure owners.

The official release reported a $942,871 total project value and a $330,560 Ocean Supercluster contribution; it did not label the currency. Marine Thinking leads the project, with Innvotek and Innovate UK participating as project partners rather than financing investors. The work covers a launch-and-recovery system for Innvotek’s Amphibian UWILD platform for safer ship-hull inspection and cleaning.

Innvotek presented Amphibian at RenewableUK Global Offshore Wind 2021, positioning it as a mobile robotic platform for advanced NDT inspection and maintenance of large offshore assets. The company said the robot was displayed at the stand of its longstanding partner Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult and drew interest from more than 20 businesses exploring industrial applications. The event positioned Amphibian around wind-turbine monopile inspection, corrosion mapping, biofouling cleaning, and remote access to offshore structures in harsh marine conditions.
