About Kubota
Kubota combines agricultural machinery with robotics, positioning and farm-management software. Its Agri Robo range includes tractors, combine harvesters and rice transplanters that perform high-precision field operations without an onboard driver while a person monitors the work. Automatic steering follows GNSS-defined routes, and laser scanners, ultrasonic sonar and other safeguards detect people and obstacles.
The machinery connects with the Kubota Smart Agri System, which stores machine, field and work records in the cloud for cultivation planning, crop-quality management and more precise use of inputs. Kubota has released products at the supervised-unmanned stage across its core rice-farming machines and is developing remote-supervised operation. Its wider programme extends automation and data use into dry-field and specialty-crop work, including tilling, planting, fertilising, spraying and harvesting, with machinery and services adapted to regional farming systems.

The M5 Narrow solution integrates sensing and AI into a 105.7-horsepower specialty tractor. Kubota developed the autonomous specialty-crop solution with Agtonomy. Kubota also introduced the KVPR concept robot with adjustable dimensions for multiple farm tasks.

The TX harvester combines an unmanned ground vehicle with image sensors and AI that identifies ripe strawberries for robotic picking. Advanced Farm Technologies also provided contracted strawberry-harvesting services from its Davis, California base.
