About Loop Robots
Loop Robots fits SAM into a room-cleaning process that begins with staff preparing and manually cleaning the space. The robot then performs a UV-C surface-disinfection cycle, navigating around the room and adapting its route to the layout. Mapping and cycle records support repeatable treatment and review by the facility's team.
An Isala hospital pilot, begun in December 2025 and described in August 2026, uses SAM alongside staff procedures and checks that include dosimeter stickers and environmental sampling. The hospital reviews the pilot monthly, with feedback informing how the robot is used in practice. Loop Robots supports implementation through staff training and operational assistance, making room preparation, robot operation and follow-up review parts of the deployment process.
