MAEXTRO was introduced through the JAC Group and Huawei intelligent-vehicle partnership. JAC leads vehicle engineering, manufacturing and the dedicated Hefei production base, while Huawei contributes product-development and vehicle-technology systems through the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance.
The brand launched with the S800 and expanded into the V800 and V680 MPVs. The latter pair use Huawei ADS 5.0 hardware and software, including fused three-dimensional perception and redundant sensing, compute, power and communications paths designed for higher-level automated-driving functions.

- 2026-08-17 - Regulatory - MAEXTRO receives Hefei L3 testing licences for V800 and V680
Both MPVs use an ADS 5.0 full-stack hardware and software solution designed for L3 and higher automated-driving architectures. The V800 uses dual sensors, connectors, system-on-chip processors and power supplies to provide four layers of compute-path redundancy. MAEXTRO said testing will cover full driving scenarios before the vehicles begin customer deliveries in September 2026.

The V800 launched in three configurations priced from RMB766,000, RMB866,000 and RMB1.016 million; the V680 launched from RMB648,000. Both vehicles use Huawei ADS 5, while the V800 adds an 800-volt active suspension and steer-by-wire on a MAEXTRO-specific Huawei Tuling Longxing platform. JAC said V800 early deliveries would begin in September 2026, with broader V800 and V680 volume deliveries later that month.
