• 2026-10-16 - Partnership - Mercedes-Benz expands NVIDIA partnership for automated driving and future Level 4 applications

  Alpamayo supports point-to-point urban assistance, active safety and automated parking. Halos provides a parallel safety stack for redundancy and guardrails. Future SAE Level 4 applications include robolimousines; the companies also collaborate on engineering simulation and the MO360 production ecosystem.

  Tien Kung 3.0 appeared at the Mercedes-Benz Chengdu Auto Show booth for reception, vehicle explanations and visitor interaction. The proposed store workflow covers greeting, customer questions, configuration recommendations and ceremonial handover; the partners also reserved joint display space at WRC.

• 2026-06-30 - Product Launch - Apptronik opens expanded Robot Park and unveils Apollo 2

  The nearly 90,000-square-foot Austin site anchors a network that also includes Google DeepMind, Mercedes-Benz and GXO locations. Apptronik described a mix of teleoperation and autonomous execution to gather data for Gemini Robotics models. Apollo 2 had already served as a training platform for more than a year; its data would inform the planned Apollo 3 commercial generation.

• 2026-06-10 - Partnership - Mercedes-Benz signs MoU with TYTAN Technologies for counter-drone vehicles

  The partners will evaluate a G-Class counter-drone mission platform and a Sprinter mobile drone carrier. A prototype shown at ILA 2026 illustrated the proposed vehicle-based system architecture. The MoU provides a framework for project evaluation and potential industrial implementation.

  The supply agreement supports Mercedes-Benz programmes in Europe. The agreement also covers Mercedes-Benz programmes in China. Lidar production will be supported by Hesai’s Galileo manufacturing centre in Thailand.

  Operators directly controlled Apollo while synchronized hand and finger motion data were logged for policy learning. The demonstrated configuration included a PSYONIC Ability Hand on Apollo’s arm.

  Repeat investors included B Capital, Google, Mercedes-Benz and PEAK6; new participants included AT&T Ventures, John Deere and Qatar Investment Authority. The company allocated proceeds to Apollo production, customer pilots and facilities for robot training and data collection. Apptronik said the extension valuation was three times the initial Series A valuation.

• 2025-09-09 - Demonstration - Factorial-powered Mercedes EQS completes 1,205 km single-charge run

  The test vehicle covered 1,205 km through Germany and Denmark to Sweden on public roads. It arrived without a charging stop and retained 132 km of indicated range. The completed run extended Mercedes and Factorial real-world validation across varied climates and routes.

• 2025-02-24 - Demonstration - Factorial and Mercedes put lithium-metal solid-state EQS on the road

  The prototype battery was integrated into a lightly modified EQS after bench testing. The pack targeted up to 25% more range at comparable weight and size with passive cooling. Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains and Factorial engineers supported the real-world validation programme.

• 2024-03-15 - Partnership - Apptronik and Mercedes-Benz sign Apollo manufacturing pilot agreement

  The agreement was described as Apptronik’s first publicly announced commercial deployment of Apollo and Mercedes-Benz’s first announced application of humanoid robotics. Mercedes-Benz is exploring Apollo for logistics work such as delivering assembly kits to production lines, inspecting components and moving totes later in the manufacturing process. The pilot is aimed at repetitive and physically demanding tasks in human-designed factories, where Apollo’s human-scale form and force-control architecture are intended to support work alongside people.
