About MetalCraft Marine

MetalCraft Marine designs welded-aluminium vessels around the speed, payload, seakeeping and launch requirements of patrol, firefighting, rescue and workboat customers. Its unmanned Over the Horizon Interceptor is a 25-foot waterjet vessel capable of approximately 43.5 knots, with an optionally crewed configuration for harbour transit and a hull-and-trailer package sized for shipment in a standard 40-foot container. Payload spaces support surveillance and other mission equipment.

The company supplies the vessel engineering and construction while autonomy can come from specialist partners. The first OTH-USV used a US Coast Guard research autonomy suite, while later configurations incorporated Huntington Ingalls Industries perception and autonomy software. MetalCraft is also producing ROMULUS-25 prototypes with HII for US Marine Corps evaluation, maintaining the same division of responsibility: MetalCraft builds and integrates the high-speed marine platform, while HII contributes its Odyssey autonomy architecture and mission software.
