About Mutable Tactics
Mutable Tactics develops Mastermind, an edge-computing and autonomy subsystem that coordinates heterogeneous robotic platforms as a single team. The architecture centralises sensing, reasoning and compute, allowing inexpensive third-party vehicles or aircraft to receive decomposed tasks rather than carrying the full autonomy stack individually.
Mastermind is designed for contested battlefield missions where communications or satellite navigation may be degraded or absent. Local processing keeps latency low and lets a mixed squad continue operating without a persistent cloud link, while the coordinating node assigns work across the connected machines. The UK company positions the system as a semi-attritable force multiplier for combining existing unmanned hardware into larger collaborative formations.
