About MW
Living Home treats the building itself as a physical-AI platform. Sensors, connected fixtures and spatial data are incorporated during architectural design so the home can observe occupancy, environmental conditions and equipment state. A residential operating layer coordinates devices, software services and later robotic systems through one representation of the property.
The approach is intended to avoid the fragmentation created when each appliance or robot maps and interprets the home independently. Developers and residents can introduce security, energy, care and domestic-automation functions through shared infrastructure while retaining physical controls and human oversight. MW reported more than ten active Living Home projects and raised JPY 3 billion in seed funding in June 2026 to expand design, software and deployment.
