Founded in 2014 in Los Angeles, Nanotech Energy develops non-flammable lithium-ion technology, graphene materials and battery cells. Its business combines proprietary materials with domestic cell-manufacturing infrastructure rather than producing a complete vehicle or robotic system.
In 2026 Amprius selected Nanotech Energy to manufacture SA128 silicon-anode cells in the United States.
