About Navya Mobility

Navya developed low-speed autonomous shuttles and driving software for passenger transport on campuses, industrial sites, airports and public roads. Its Autonom Shuttle combined lidar, cameras, GNSS and onboard control with fleet-supervision software, allowing operation along mapped routes under local safety and regulatory requirements.

The original company entered judicial liquidation in 2023. Selected assets and employees were acquired through a Gaussin-Macnica structure, and Macnica later continued the activity as Navya Mobility. The current business develops autonomous-driving systems and vehicle programmes using technology and personnel carried forward from the former Navya operation.

  • 2026-10-23 - Partnership - Macnica supports expanded Mitoyo autonomous EV-bus trial

    The Level 2 trial is scheduled for 1 November through 25 December as part of work toward Level 4. The route links Shonai community center, Kagawa Kosen Takuma campus and JR Takuma station, with six trips per day. NTT West provides project management and networking; the vehicle carries one operator and up to nine passengers.

  • 2023-04-18 - Acquisition - Gaussin-Macnica venture takes over Navya assets

    The Lyon Commercial Court approved the disposal plan and judicial asset sale on April 18, 2023. The sale transferred specified tangible and intangible assets and inventories for EUR1.4 million to a joint venture owned 51% by Gaussin and 49% by Macnica. The transaction preserved 143 of 206 French jobs and transferred the Charlatte Autonom and Navya Systems subsidiaries, while Navya entered liquidation and delisting.

  • 2022-09-02 - Deployment - SAGE supports second-stage FLEX driverless shuttle trial

    SAGE’s National Operations Centre provided real-time passenger support and remote operations monitoring for the 11-seat shuttle. SAGE integrated the autonomous vehicle with traffic signals so it could receive intersection priority and speed guidance. The expanded 2.8-kilometre route tested on-demand operation and preparation for service without an onboard chaperone.
