About Nexterity
Nexterity's robotic tool positions itself at an industrial pipe flange and operates several fasteners while the pipefitter supervises from a safer distance. Computer vision aligns the mechanism with standardised flange and bolt patterns, and remote human control retains authority during opening or closing of a pipeline joint.
The system is intended for routine maintenance, plant retrofits and new construction where manual impact-wrench work exposes hands and workers to stored-energy and process hazards. Nexterity targets tightening within 10 foot-pounds of the selected torque and up to eight times the speed of manual unbolting.
