About Nidec Drive Technology
Nidec Drive Technology develops precision gear reducers and measurement systems for robot joints, machine tools and automated equipment. Its motion portfolio includes FLEXWAVE strain-wave reducers, KINEX cycloidal reducers and inline or right-angle planetary gearboxes, covering compact articulated axes through high-load transfer and positioning systems.
FLEXWAVE models provide compact, low- or zero-backlash transmission for humanoid and industrial robot joints; KINEX units offer solid- and hollow-shaft arrangements for articulated, SCARA and wafer-transfer robots. Planetary series add high torque density and rigid ISO-flange mounting for seventh axes, end-of-arm tooling and indexing equipment. Online sizing and CAD tools help engineers match frame size, ratio, motor adapter and load profile during integration.
