About OctaPulse
OctaPulse combines controlled fish presentation with computer vision to replace repeated manual inspection in hatcheries. Its broodstock system photographs and measures individual fish for phenotyping, while juvenile inspection identifies deformities and grading characteristics at earlier production stages. Multi-view imaging and trained models convert each pass into structured records for hatchery staff.
Operators introduce fish into the inspection station, review the automated classification and route selected animals based on breeding or quality requirements. OctaPulse states that selected checks can fall from about five minutes to under 30 seconds while maintaining high classification accuracy. The system is designed around hatchery throughput and animal handling, giving farms a repeatable data trail for broodstock selection, juvenile quality assurance and later production analysis.
