About Online Oceans
Online Oceans builds Scout, a 2.4-metre solar-electric uncrewed surface vessel for persistent ocean observation. The self-righting vehicle holds station or follows routes for months, carrying customer-selected sensors and transmitting data through Iridium or Starlink while continuing its mission through communications interruptions.
Scout supports metocean measurement, marine-mammal detection, vessel monitoring and tracking of subsea assets. Tether browser software plans missions, supervises fleets and combines vehicle status with AIS, weather, tide and bathymetric layers; Tether Bridge can extend the same control system to third-party MAVLink vessels. Customers can buy vehicles and software or receive processed ocean data as an operated subscription service.
