About Parallel Robotics
Parallel Robotics is an Ann Arbor surgical-robotics developer working on a compact manipulator architecture that combines human power with computer control. The programme targets dexterous manipulation, haptic sensation and surgeon ergonomics while reducing the footprint and complexity that can limit adoption of conventional robotic surgery.
Its 2026 NSF SBIR Phase I funds preclinical prototype fabrication, mechatronic and software testing, and surgeon evaluation in a simulated surgical environment. No commercial product name or regulatory clearance has been disclosed.
