Popoto Modem
About
About Popoto Modem
Popoto Modem develops acoustic communications hardware for integration into underwater instruments and vehicles. Its PMM5544 OEM module offers Ethernet and serial interfaces, acoustic ranging, waveform recording and playback, and Python and MATLAB interfaces. Enclosed modems and development bundles extend the same communications work into packaged subsea systems.
MARIA, the Marine Acoustic Rapid Innovation Architecture, lets developers run custom acoustic-processing algorithms on Popoto hardware through PCM input/output callbacks. The S1000-N combines Popoto modem hardware with Subnero's UnetStack for underwater networking, including multihop routing. These hardware and software options support both system integration and acoustic research.
