• 2026-06-29 - Market Signal - psb builds automated materials centre to triple internal capacity

  The 3,700-square-metre, 25-metre-high centre included capacity for 30,000 bins and 5,000 pallets. Planned equipment covered 600 metres of conveyor plus four storage and retrieval workstations. The design targeted 600 bin and 120 pallet movements per hour, with operation due in the second quarter of 2027.

  Fifteen storage levels held varied bins and trays up to four deep, including stacked low-height bins. The system achieved up to 400 storage and retrieval operations per hour. psb selektron WMS coordinated the automated warehouse with other small-parts and pallet areas.

  Two robot cells will transfer ship-in-own-container cartons from bins onto api outbound conveyors. Each robot is rated for up to 300 cartons per hour across packages weighing 1 kg to 30 kg. Factory commissioning of the complete cell and conveyors reduces installation time and disruption on site.

  The robot used AI to automate order picking and raise throughput. psb positioned the cell to reduce error rates and support warehouse employees. Live demonstrations ran from March 24 through March 26 at Hall 1, stand B11.

  A six-aisle shuttle warehouse used 90 shuttles across 53 levels for about 2,400 double cycles per hour. A two-aisle pallet warehouse added 3,520 locations and debuted psb PowerCaps energy storage in a customer project. A sequencing warehouse and rotasort workstations fed Eurodrive production directly.

• 2025-12-16 - Deployment - B. Braun starts 18,500-location psb shuttle warehouse

  The three-aisle Multi Access Warehouse fit into a 55-metre-long, 8.5-metre-high building envelope. Automated stacking and pairing placed varied containers into about 18,500 storage locations. The system handled up to 600 full-container storage and retrieval movements per hour.

• 2022-12-13 - Product Launch - psb speedpick launches 600-pick-per-hour workstation

  Source and target totes stopped at 45-degree angles to reduce operator reach and remove walking time. Powered swivel rollers supplied and removed containers while a screen displayed article and quantity instructions. The workstation supported up to 600 picks per hour with an optional adjustable working height.
