QuickLogic is a fabless semiconductor company founded in 1988 and headquartered in San Jose. It develops embedded FPGA hard IP, FPGA devices and ruggedized programmable logic. Its Australis generator configures embedded logic to meet a customer’s performance, power and silicon-area requirements, allowing functions to change after a system-on-chip has been manufactured.
For robotics and industrial electronics, the relevant functions include precision motor control, communications, hardware acceleration and adaptable control algorithms. QuickLogic’s October 2026 design win targets a programmable SoC on a 16nm automotive process for robotics, battery management and motor-control applications. Its business combines IP licensing with royalties linked to customer production shipments.
