About Schneider Electric
Schneider Electric supplies energy-management and industrial-automation equipment and software for factories, buildings, infrastructure and data centres. Its robotics portfolio includes Lexium collaborative, SCARA, delta and Cartesian systems, alongside drives, motion controllers, safety equipment and multi-carrier transport. Machine builders combine these products to automate handling, assembly, packaging and other production processes.
Its EcoStruxure software connects machine engineering, control and digital-twin workflows, allowing an application to be designed and tested before installation. Schneider and its integration partners provide application engineering, commissioning and support around the equipment. Robotics is part of a much wider electrification and automation business. The group has agreed to acquire engineering-software company PTC, with completion anticipated in 2027 subject to approvals; the agreement has not yet made PTC a completed acquisition.
