About Sierra Base
Sierra Base develops SIRIUS modules and software for autonomous inspection of bridges, buildings, tunnels, dams and industrial facilities. A rotary LiDAR unit mounted on a drone or ground robot creates a three-dimensional map, localises the vehicle where GPS is unavailable and plans paths with collision avoidance. Optional high-resolution cameras collect surface imagery while the robot maintains a consistent distance from the structure.
SIRIUS GCS turns the point cloud into a web-based digital twin where operators define inspection points, generate repeatable routes and supervise multiple machines. AI then detects and maps cracks, efflorescence, exposed reinforcement and other structural damage, producing condition drawings and diagnostic reports. The same platform supports progress measurement with sub-centimetre 3D modelling. Sierra Base supplies modules for drones, ground vehicles and wearable scanning, alongside integrated inspection packages for difficult-to-reach infrastructure.
