Sigma Corporation

Sigma was founded in 1961 and remains headquartered in Kawasaki, Japan, with camera and lens manufacturing concentrated at its Aizu factory. The private company designs interchangeable lenses, mirrorless cameras and related optical equipment under its own brand. Its main markets are photography and cinema.

Freefly uses Sigma imaging hardware with aerial camera platforms. In that configuration, Sigma supplies the optical capture layer while Freefly provides stabilisation, aircraft integration and operational control. The integration brings Sigma optics into remotely operated aerial imaging.
