Skyecam provides professional drone operations for film, television, advertising and live production from Los Angeles. Established in 2012, the company supplies pilots, camera teams, aircraft, permitting and operating support for cinematic aerial work, FPV sequences and drone-mounted lighting.
The company also designs and engineers custom unmanned aircraft. Its published heavy-lift systems support professional cinema cameras, lighting rigs, virtual-reality payloads and other specialist loads, giving Skyecam a recurring technical role beyond ordinary aerial photography.

- 2025-06-28 - Deployment - Hobbywing H8M propulsion system powers Skyecam aerial-cinematography platform
Skyecam selected HOBBYWING’s H8M integrated propulsion system—motor, ESC and propeller—for a custom 1200 mm heavy-lift cinematography drone. The team tested the configuration with no payload, a 30 lb payload and LED-lighting systems before commercial shoots. In a Nevada cinematography project, four H8M units carried a 21.5 lb camera payload for about 10 minutes and later powered additional flight missions and on-set lighting work without overheating.
