Space Robotic Workers
About
About Space Robotic Workers
Space Robotic Workers is developing a reusable orbital worker with two robotic arms and interchangeable tools. The spacecraft is intended to carry the tooling required for assembly, refuelling and repair, combining transport to the worksite with the equipment used there. Its proposed tasks centre on maintaining and expanding infrastructure in low Earth orbit.
The company is also developing a modular Smart Truss for stations and other large structures. The truss and robotic worker are designed as complementary parts of an approach in which orbital hardware can be assembled and serviced after launch. The programme remains in development, with the intended operating model built around reuse of the worker across different construction and maintenance tasks.
