About Sparkz
Sparkz develops lithium iron phosphate materials, battery cells and complete battery energy-storage systems in the United States. Its Sacramento manufacturing operation combines materials processing, cell production and system assembly. The company markets stationary storage for homes, commercial facilities, industrial sites and grid applications, with its battery technology also being adapted for unmanned aircraft.
Its robotics-related work includes a master supply agreement with Global Ordnance for high-energy-density drone battery packs. Sparkz is responsible for manufacturing and supply, while Global Ordnance leads defense-market sales and distribution. The programme targets a U.S. material and assembly chain, with configurable packs intended for different unmanned aircraft. Initial availability is planned for early 2027 and full manufacturing capacity for the second quarter of that year.

The planned pilot facility was intended to move a second battery product line from development toward commercialisation. A separate $2.6 million California Energy Commission grant supported the solid-state programme; it was not a private financing round. The company also described an existing Knoxville research centre and licensed Oak Ridge National Laboratory battery technology.
