About SteerAI
SteerAI is an Abu Dhabi autonomy company created by VentureOne, the commercialisation arm of the Advanced Technology Research Council, around technology developed at the Technology Innovation Institute. CoreX combines a modular sensor and compute kit with perception, localisation, navigation and decision-making software, allowing existing off-road vehicles to operate autonomously in harsh, unmapped and satellite-denied environments. CoreConnect provides mission planning, monitoring and fleet orchestration across mixed vehicles.
The company unveiled xRift in January 2026 as a CoreX-powered driverless all-terrain vehicle with a flat payload deck rated for up to 500 kilograms. It is designed for industrial logistics and defence missions such as resupply and surveillance, with production units planned for the end of 2026. A separate February 2025 programme calls for CoreX to equip 20 Milrem Robotics THeMIS vehicles for a UAE land-forces trial, pairing SteerAI's autonomy layer with Milrem's ground platforms and command-and-control system.

The system combines a vehicle hardware kit with navigation software, sensors and remote fleet mission planning and monitoring. Technology Innovation Institute engineers developed the system before its commercialisation through VentureOne. Initial markets are logistics and defence, including operation around hazards and in challenging or unmapped environments.
