About
About SYSGO
SYSGO builds embedded software for systems in which real-time behaviour, isolation and certification matter. PikeOS combines a separation-kernel hypervisor with real-time operating-system functions for mixed-criticality workloads; ELinOS provides an industrial embedded-Linux distribution, and CODEO supplies the associated development environment.
Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Klein-Winternheim, SYSGO also operates in France and the Czech Republic. Thales acquired the company in 2012 while retaining the SYSGO brand and commercial mission. The current robotics offer applies its safety, cybersecurity and partitioning stack to autonomous and humanoid systems.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-09-08 - Partnership - SYSGO and Kontron extend PikeOS support to VX3060 computing platform
The package covers Ethernet, UART, thermal and voltage monitoring, and storage interfaces; TPM integration and Secure Boot are available on request. The partners target defense, transportation and industrial automation systems that consolidate workloads with different safety and security requirements.
Source - 2026-08-18 - Partnership - SYSGO partners with Aerofugia on AE200-100 eVTOL avionics
Spatial and temporal separation allows applications with different criticality levels to share computing resources. Consolidation targets lower size, weight, power and cost, with certification considerations built into the avionics architecture.
Source - 2025-11-27 - Org Change - SYSGO appoints Marcel Robert as chief executive
Robert joined after serving as general manager of Trixell. His earlier work included senior IoT portfolio and technical-delivery roles at Gemalto and Thales.
Source - 2025-03-20 - Partnership - PikeOS adds support for Toradex Verdin iMX95 platform
The configuration targets safety-certifiable embedded systems across industrial automation, robotics, transportation and healthcare. The supported platform combines Toradex hardware with PikeOS real-time partitioning and certification tooling.
Source - 2024-10-15 - Partnership - SYSGO and NexCOBOT combine PikeOS with robot-control hardware
The reference solution combines PikeOS with NexCOBOT’s modular robotic-control hardware. The companies target functional-safety certification up to SIL 3 for industrial robotics systems.
Source - 2024-03-19 - Demonstration - SYSGO previews PikeOS robot-safety demonstrator for Embedded World 2024
The planned demonstrator uses a safety-monitoring unit and separates control and application workloads through PikeOS partitioning. Its virtual-robot configuration combines EtherCAT, laser-scanner obstacle inputs and smart-wheel functions.
Source - 2012-11-15 - Acquisition - SYSGO announces acquisition by Thales
Thales planned to retain the existing management and staff to maintain service for SYSGO customers. The transaction aimed to broaden PikeOS market access while continuing sales beyond the Thales group, including automotive and other embedded-system markets.
Source - 2008-07-16 - Capability - MPL PIP10 gains SYSGO PikeOS support
The first joint project used the combination for safety-critical excavator drive assistance. The software port was immediately available, supporting reuse of existing applications alongside new functionality.
