About The Bot Company

The Bot Company is developing robots intended to perform everyday household chores. Kyle Vogt founded the San Francisco business in 2024 with Paril Jain and Luke Holoubek after work spanning autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence and robotics. Its team also includes people with backgrounds at Tesla, Cruise, OpenAI, Google and Pixar. Development remains pre-commercial and combines robot hardware with AI software for learning and carrying out domestic tasks.

The company announced an initial $150 million financing in May 2024, led by Nat Friedman, Daniel Gross and Nabeel Hyatt with participation from several technology founders and venture firms. A second $150 million round led by Greenoaks followed in March 2025 at a reported $2 billion valuation, up from the reported $550 million post-money valuation attached to the first round. Greenoaks, NFDG, Spark, Eclipse, Kleiner Perkins and Y Combinator are among the backers named by the company.
