About
About True Anomaly
True Anomaly develops integrated space-defense systems spanning spacecraft, payloads and mission software. Its Jackal autonomous orbital vehicles are designed for rendezvous and proximity operations, non-Earth imaging and contested-space missions across low-Earth, geosynchronous and cislunar environments. Mosaic translates operator intent into mission plans and autonomous actions while supporting space-domain awareness and command-and-control.
The company conducts flight testing through its Mission X programme and operates engineering, manufacturing and mission-control facilities in Colorado and California. Its April 2026 financing provides capital for a planned series of LEO and GEO missions, delivery of Jackal and Mosaic into U.S. Space Force programmes, and expansion of production and headcount.

Events
- 2026-09-18 - Contract Award - True Anomaly selected to deliver Jackal for GHOST-R GEO reconnaissance mission
True Anomaly will initially operate Jackal jointly with U.S. Space Force mission operators. The spacecraft is intended to transition to a government-owned, government-operated on-orbit asset after joint operations. GHOST-R is positioned as a pathfinder for the Space Force RG-XX persistent reconnaissance programme.

Space Systems Command issued the tasking on 14 July; the crew produced a validated mission plan in under 30 minutes. When Puma maneuvered during the approach, Jackal downlinked observations and the team replanned and uplinked a new trajectory. Mosaic orchestrated the mission while Jackal used open- and closed-loop tracking and onboard multi-object detection and tracking.

Mosaic will provide large-scale target pairing and asset orchestration that matches available assets to mission requirements. The Commercial Solutions Opening award sits within a programme modernizing command and control, battle management and space intelligence. Mosaic simulates interactions across heterogeneous asset fleets and produces metric-backed, traceable options for operators.

The mission validated closed-loop tracking of maneuvering targets while the spacecraft itself maneuvered. Mission X-3 logged roughly 2,000 successful spacecraft contacts and imaging or tracking at ranges from 100 km to more than 1,000 km. JACKAL-0004 remained healthy on orbit for continued testing and over-the-air software updates after commissioning.

Eclipse and Riot Ventures co-led the equity round, joined by new investors Paradigm, Atreides, G Squared, The Private Shares Fund and VanEck alongside returning backers. The company plans a dozen missions over 18 months, additional LEO and GEO demonstrations, and deliveries of Jackal and Mosaic into U.S. Space Force programmes. The financing supports expansion from 250 employees at year-end 2025 to more than 500 by year-end 2026, alongside higher spacecraft and software delivery capacity.
