Tyro Remotes designs and manufactures industrial radio-control systems for electrically, hydraulically and pneumatically operated equipment. Tyro sits in the robotics control-and-safety layer rather than the finished-machine market. Husarion offers a Tyro Indus transmitter and Gemini 1S receiver set as an emergency-stop configuration for the Lynx mobile robot, establishing a named robot-platform integration. The Dutch business introduced its first flexible remote-control system in 2002 and now operates as part of Cattron’s industrial remote-control portfolio.

  • 2022-07-12 - Acquisition - Cattron acquires Tyro Remotes

    Tyro added radio remote controls and wireless emergency-stop systems for mobile-equipment applications to Cattron's portfolio. Cattron said Tyro would retain its Almelo operations while gaining access to Cattron's engineering resources and global network. The combination expanded Cattron's European customer base and its safety-rated automation-control offering.
