Ulysses

Ulysses pairs its Mako underwater vehicle with Kraken, an automated launch, recovery and recharging system. This surface-to-subsea arrangement is designed to support repeated missions without bringing a crewed vessel to each underwater task. Mako uses interchangeable modules and payloads so the same vehicle architecture can carry sensing equipment or tools for physical intervention.

The company grew from seagrass-restoration work into a broader maritime platform for ecological surveys, infrastructure and security applications. It develops the vehicles and their autonomy together, including onboard computing and vehicle-to-vehicle communications. Robotic payloads extend the platform from observation to tasks such as seed planting and subsea maintenance.
