About uWare Robotics
uWare Robotics developed uOne as a compact autonomous underwater vehicle for shallow-water inspection, mapping and environmental data collection. The free-moving vehicle is designed to hover and manoeuvre in multiple directions rather than follow the long, torpedo-shaped form used by many survey AUVs. Its one-person-portable format reduces the need for a support vessel, crane, tether or specialist dive team when inspecting infrastructure close to shore or below confined sites.
Mission software coordinates the survey and turns the collected imagery and sensor readings into georeferenced maps, 3D models and inspection records. The system is intended for repeatable work around ports, pipelines, offshore structures, reservoirs and marine ecosystems, where customers need structured findings rather than raw underwater video. uWare therefore controls both the vehicle and the data-processing layer, allowing an engineering or research team to plan a mission, recover the robot and review spatially organised results through one workflow.

- 2023-06-01 - Partnership - uWare Robotics collaborates with Fraunhofer SOT on reef monitoring
Fraunhofer SOT planned to use uOne for repeated monitoring of artificial reefs at its Digital Ocean Lab. The work targeted geolocated benthic imagery and synchronised environmental data that had previously required scientific divers. The collaboration provided a practical validation setting for uWare's underwater mapping and ecosystem-monitoring system.
